trailer or receiver Hitch

Has anyone installed a trailer or receiver hitch on a SVT Focus? I can not find one that states it will fit on a SVT Focus.. I seem to recall reading on this forum a couple of years ago that one can be installed on a SVT if you cut a small section of the black honeycomb below the rear bumper. Has anyone tried this???

Thanks

I have one installed on my SVTF to tow a small utility trailer. Yes, you have to cut the rear diffusor because the square tube of the hitch will protrude from it (even without the towbar installed). I just bought a new diffusor so if I ever removed the hitch I could replace the diffusor.

x2 It worked for me, except I found a defuser on eBay for cheap!
I used it to pull a u-Haul trailer from Winnipeg to Vancouver, but now it's main use it for my bike rack.

Ditto. I got a regular ZX3 receiver hitch and bolted it on the SVTF. I did have to drill a single hole in the frame for the bolts, all but 1 hole were already there. I dremeled out a section of the black "diffuser" plastic mesh trim for the hitch.

If you need close up pics drop me a PM and I can email some from my phone.
