best clutch/flywheel combo for high hp

I'm preparing for my turbo build and I wanted suggestions on what the best combo's are. I'll be around 450-500 hp....I understand clutch chatter is probably going to be around but does anyone have a great combo that doesn't chatter and holds great? thanks Jon

Where did you hear that for FI???? Lighter flywheel = less turbo lag...

Anyways, are you positive you're going to be at 450 - 500hp? That's a mighty big number. Stage 4 for sure. Clutches are rated in torque, though. With how SVTs make torque, it will be lower than your hp.

id go with southbend, i dont have their setup, i have spec but i have heard a lot of good comments about SB, one thing you might now, im not really sure but there is a myth, some clutches might hold a lot of TQ but they are not good to be dailydriven, so you should check that too

My clutch holds 425 torque at the crank. It gets a little tiring in stop-n-go traffic but it's still pretty easy to drive. You can't tell it's meant to hold so much power.

The stage3 Southbend kit really isn't all that bad in traffic once you get used to it. It's surprisingly daily-driver friendly while being able to hold the power. I'm not sure about a monster boost build, though.

450-500 is what I'm going for and yes I am positive. I'm building the block as we speak, so I think I'll be safe.

Alright, well 425 trq = 362 at the wheels. There is a fair margin of error built into clutches so 400 wheel torque isn't out of the question. That will get you to 450. John made 61 less torque than hp...but he also has his custom BBQ intake manifold
