Sagging intake manifold?

Is the rear of the intake manifold supposed to be rigidly mounted?

I'm in the process of checking the boots that connect to the intake manifold to the cylinder head. I noticed that the ones closest to the TB are almost sagged down to where they were coming off. After removing all the boots and the intake piping, I was able to reach under and move the entire manifold. So it looks like the only thing holding this thing in place is the 4 rubber boots and something somewhere to the left. (Couldn't really tell)

Also, seemed like there was quite a bit of oil in the piping across all 4.

Something wrong here?

There is a piece on the back of the bottom manifold that should be bolted to the block.

Thanks for the info.

Looks like I pushed my manifold down from all the times I've taken my CAI Intake piping off and pushed it back into the TB.

Any thoughts on the oil? Worn seals I should replace maybe?

Are you talking about oil in your intake manifold? Thats normal. The pcv system is routed into the intake manifold to burn in the combustion process.

OK. Wasn't sure.

Since you mentioned the PCV, is that the little tube that attaches to back of the intake mani? The one that when I pulled it out while my engine was running it started to run very very badly.

It runs underneath the throttlebody and and turns into the manifold. Its like a 3/8" rubber tubing. You can put a oil/water seperator for an air compressor in line to catch some oil. Some call it a catch can.
