anyone have a how to on removing the intake manifold?

just wondering how to remove it. hopefully i dont need to replace any gaskets when doing so... do i?

I own a 2004 saleen focus and the air filter is in the fender of the car in the wheel well. The black box (air filter) you need to replace the whole thing you cant just replace the filter you need to replace the whole filter box. When i found out all this it made me very sad that ford would develop such a poorly designed air intake. Hope this helped

dj you should but you dont necesaraly have to ive had mine off multiple times and havent changed them (theres 4 of them 1 for each inlet) yet so you should be safe i havent had any probs yet

lol whaaaaaaaaaaaat

i drive a SVT. we have a dual stage intake manifold. the black box you speak of is just an air box and filter. I am talking about the actual intake manifold, not the air intake.

No how-to but a couple of pointers. loosen the clamps from top. loosen 6mm bolt from bottom, see pic in my build post. undo IAC, DSI, Brake vacum line. Lay upper intake towards the firewall. Unbolt lower intake and remove Now you will have room to remove the upper intake.

No. You unscrew the lid and replace the filter. Just like 90% of vehicles on the road.
