SVT air intake

I was just checking out ebay and came across this intake. It is a Weapon R that can double as a cold air intake.

This is not my item but I thought I would share it. It looks interesting. Just thought I'd see if anyone uses or would be interested.

I've never seen it. Anyone know if it does what the seller claims? I run an svt cai on my '03 zx3 with a K&N filter in the air box. Should fit a zx3, right, anyone know?

Mmmm...looks ok I guess. I would prefer to go with a tried and true intake, but it couldn't really hurt. Just make sure you don't mount it too low or else you might suck up water when you go through a puddle or if it rains really hard some time.

Intakes don't do much for the SVT, so don't think this thing is something magical just because of their "dual flow" technology. You'll gain probably 3hp from it.

looks restrictive. You can get the steeda SRI for $170 and it's awesome unless you're sitting at a light in summer

don't even trust that crap. overpriced and doesnt do as stated.
if you notice, their test is not even close to acurate. it uses a low volume air draw.
then they go on to state "Here you can see that the display is reading 1.4 in H20"
um h2o is water not airflow. airflow would be cfm.
but I guess there are those gullible enough to be impressed with numbers and what they think are scientific terms.

Yeah, not sure what test they're doing. All I'm saying is I don't see how that intake could *hurt* performance. As I said earlier, though, going with tried and true is better.

it would also be nice if the would even show a picture of the real item that is for the focus svt. that picture looks like a stock photo. and if that is the one you receive for the svt i highly doubt it would work. looks like it might for a regular zetec.
