SVT clutch tranny need help

So long story short got some late night hunger playing ps3 drove about 2 blocks to the local convience store speeds 35-40 mph the whole trip. trip back go to downshift to second and car acts like it doesnt want to go into second but does with a little extra force. pull it into a parking spot and tried putting it into gear and it seems like it wont do it with the car running and the clutch pedal is pushed in. also i have a slight vibration noise. is this my clutch gone bad my 2002 svt still has the original clutch and checked the ford service records and it never went in for the tsb when the prior owner had the car. if i get a new clutch does that sound like the fix or is there a bigger problem here cause when the car is off it goes through the gear box like butter but engine running i cant put it into gear first sounds kinda like it trys to grind into gear

doesnt sound like a clutch problem. does it hold when you got WOT? sounds more like your shift fork or shift selector to me.

EDIT: just re-read everything. it only does it when the car is on. could be that your clutch isnt disengaging all the way when you push the pedal in. that should be adjustable w/the master cylinder, yea?

try pumping up the clutch. sometimes when its cold you may have to pump up the clutch if your master cylinder is leaking down. that would the the least of your worrys. you could have an issue where the slave cylinder has crapped out which requires tranny removeal or worse yet clutch pressure plate is crapped.

ive tried pumping the clutch that didnt change anything while the car is running i hear a slight vibration now that i wasnt hearing before during idle and according to who ive talked to at the ford dealer this is why they replaced the clutches during the tsb im just gonna go ahead and order the luk kit and replace everything and hope that it turns out well also i can smell the clutch burning with the car just sitting in neutral so something is right in there but tim will tell hopefully i can find some extra hands to help cause dont really have the cash to pay a mechanic to do it

yea. you can. there's actually a sweet spot where it literally slids right in. I believe its right at/right under 3k rpm. I havent done it in awhile, but I was able to do it going into every gear. I think I was even able to downshift like that too. no grinding at all.

Just because it doesn't grind doesn't necessarily mean your synchros like it. I personally wouldn't do it unless my clutch absolutely didn't work.
