New boosted svt

There is a possibility the new svt will be boosted. Tell me if I'm crazy. The svt website has a tag under the focus saying " new details coming soon"...the ford deals on 2003 svt's are pretty good, trying to move old stock . 3. muscle mustangs and fast fords magazine has some spy pictures of 3 foci with raised louvered hoods from a dearborn parking lot.. They also printed a blurb saying they looked and the cars all had innercoolers..Remember, these guys predicted the blown cobra the merc marauder and the mach one before they came out!!

Should we all start emailing or snail mailing svt to say to do it, this kind of thing does make a dif. in something coming out..the mach 1 stang exists because the magazine and its readers kept saying to build it, remember svt is run by enthusiasts.
I'll start by saying I have sent them a snail mail about it and talked to them on the phone about it!! Anyone else willing?? I WANT A BLOWN SVT!!!( ZX5) or a wagon, but I know I'm dreamin now!

Now that I just bought my SVT, I'd like it to remain the fastest Focus in our American stable. Screw everyone else :)

What would be great, is if they not only released a blown SVT, but they also released all the associated hardware for current SVT owners to mod up via their dealers. So for like $4k, you could get an "engine upgrade"--including limited warranty or something.

Hmmm. Time to write some folks, eh?

I guess we write to someone at SVT and try to get them on our side. Shoot for the top? John Colletti? Or is there an SVT Focus liason? Heck, I still haven't gotten my SVTOA packet yet--so I don't know what our options are here.

I have a feeling Ford is just going to say, "Sell your recently purchased SVT, take a hit in depreciation, and just buy a brand new SVT if you want a blown one with a warranty." Who knows, that might be CHEAPER.

Ford should take a page out of Toyota's book (or also DaimlerChrysler's) and offer that package over the counter in the parts department, for install by the dealer with a warranty, just like someone suggested above. That would be nice, and if those companies can do it, why not Ford?

I agree with you SVT4ME, Ford should offer factor supercharging with a warranty. It could be a good market to bring in lots of cash for their whole vehicle line-up. Trucks benefit greatly from superchargers, and people with work trucks that tow a lot would probably love this offered for them without voiding the warranty. It's simply something fun for people like us with these subcompacts though. Ford would have to increase it's insurance if it offered warrantied superchargers as an add on. It's a reasonable concept though.

Since I have heard and read that Ford themselves read these Forums, I hope they are taking note in this thread. No selective reading please.
