Talking trani fluid change?

Im at around 103000 miles now on my 03 svt I got it in january and it had 98000 miles on it. I dont know when the last time the trani oil was change, but I was just wondering what kind of fluid should I use. A guy at NAPA told me that Royal Purple is good but if the car ends up sitting for a month or so that the Royal purple formula will end up eating at my transmition. Whats the best kind that I could use?

the NAPA guy is full of shite... I've changed my tranny fluid with RP synchromax twice already w/much improvement over stock; i've also been on a few month+ long trips the past couple years and my getrag still shifts thru all 6 with no prob Remember Synchromax not the ATF....

I run the Ford honey. It's expensive as crap but it is the best stuff out there. The fill plug is on the front side of the the tranny and the drain plug is one the left side near the transmission mount. It's very very very easy. Easier than an oil change in fact but just make sure you can get your fill plug out before you drain the fluid lol

Here ya go brother: http://forums.focaljet.com/svt-headq...n+fluid+change

I'm only pushing 220whp but that was just the initial tune. I'm going in for a retune in a month or two for 300whp. Thanks for the compliment!
