Help! Can't find correct replacement clutch. WTF??

Long story short, a friend who works at a dealer was doing a timing belt/water pump and clutch change for me. The clutch the dealer ordered as a replacement will not fit. The clutch they ordered is 9 5/16 and my clutch is a 9 inch. We have checked with Napa, Advance and they all show the replacement as being a 9 5/16 and 9 7/16. They do not show any other replacement for my car in my size. I don't know what the issue is?? I have an 02 SVT and I am the original owner with the original clutch. We are clueless at this point and one guy at the dealer says I need a new transaxle to go with the clutch they ordered. Anyone know what the heck is wrong here as I am in a bind and need my car back on the road.

I got it figured out. Guys at dealership had no clue what they were doing. I will either go with the LUK kit or another aftermarket clutch/flywell combo.

Dealer, Napa, Advance... none know shit about SVTF, most never heard of one. Blessings on your friend for trying to help you out, sadly he's caught in the system of misinformation that is present-day Ford Motor Company. And props on getting it worked out, hope the install goes well for ya.

I just recently replaced my clutch. I was told the same thing, sort of. They told me they don't make the original anymore... I looked it up and the only one that I could find was a LUK Clutch kit. That had everything i needed including the flywheel for just under $600. I got it from AutoZone. It works very well too.

9-7/16" is the TSB Ford clutch kit. The clutches that came on the SVT from the factory assembly line were 9" and no one, not even Ford, makes them any more. No one makes just a flywheel for the TSB Ford clutch either, so you have to buy a complete clutch and matching FW kit from a single manufacturer (they don't interchange from what I've learned).
