Got some new bushings, but much to my dismay...

Mods remove the thread from SVT Chat.

I had a clunk start earlier this week. So i call Steeda and tell them my lower mount bushings are worn out (Duh!) so they send me bushigns on a warranty. No big deal. I got taken care of very well...

I got my bushings today to find this:

I am sending steeda an email with attatched pics.

Since the first "clunk" inncedent, about a week ago, I have baby'd the car, while I had until I made a launch, and shifted into 2nd about a week ago when I noticed the bushings/ mount had failed, and after that I have kept driving to a bare minimum of 50 miles at the most to keep from occuring damages that I cannot afford to repair.

I have all of the solid mounts, and no power adders all purchased from CFM.

This is my daily driven car, and I dont have time for down time, and this part was installed correctly, and not misused. I have had it since October of 2008 at the earliest. I do believe that my claim for a replacement is valid. I do like Steedas products and will continue to use them in the future, Warranty Support Pending.

There is cracking in the side. Its hard to see, but I did investigate my "hard driving" and if it was due to my ONE launch and a Hard Bang to second, then its poorly engineered. This car has never been tracked with this setup.

Anyhow, I do expect some Product Support as a "High Performance" part did not live up to the demand of a 80% stock SVTF.

I dont think I realized at that point that HT made them. But I have the steeda now, and if they replace it for free, then we're in the good. if not, I'll pitch a fit.

^^^I gotta agree with that! LOL!

IIRC, that Steeda bushing is a re-badged VF Engineering one.
Steeda doesn't really manufacture many (if any at all) of their parts.

I'll be anxious to see how the CFM mount perfoms for you.
