With no muffler, or just the last muffler? I have just the last muffler with that custom orp I bought from klod and it's pretty darn loud I could only imagine header+orp+straight back would prolly scream.

The Borla comes with two mufflers, I believe. It will be loud, no question... the more mufflers the better, in my opinion.

Yep, fit as many mufflers as you can.

you can fit two magnaflow 14416's in the straight run on the borla setup (one of those might already be there, sometimes called the "resonator")

if its still too raspy (probably will be, right around 3k), then you can add a $50 hfc to that orp

fwiw, here's a a couple clips of my car when it had orp, a single magnaflow 14416, and a borla muffler (aka trubendz' 2.5" ss kit with "resonator"). Don't mind my car whining like a 3-year-old... I was still using the FS cool-flo short-ram at the time.

also, there are already a lot of threads that discuss exhaust sound, definitely search around. try searching "14416" to see threads where people wind up using that muffler. if you haven't seen cayse's setup, you should check it out fo sho: CaysE's Custom 3" Exhaust by Focus_3XZ

naw, you should get two magnaflow 14416's, or something similar, they are straight through, so they dont add backpressure. they just add some weight and quiet the sound. they also fit the tunnel very nicely.

i think theres another part number for the non-stainless version, it might be $10 or $15 cheaper, but i wouldn't use anything but stainless on exhaust parts.

amazon has the magnaflow 14416: $67.42 shipped
also, heres the metallic core HFC I went with: $55 thunderbolt cat

i've got a leak from my flex right now, otherwise i'd go get a sound clip of my current setup for ya. i'm really happy with the sound now, its not too loud or too quiet (if only i'd get around to fixing that damn leak). it uses all 2.5" SS pipe, and goes:

SVTF header
ORP w/metallic HFC
2.5" flex w/leak
magnaflow 14416
magnaflow 14416
borla offset muffler

another option would be to copy Cayse's setup, since you don't have anything in the tunnel yet. that huge magnaflow #14641 muffler has a 3" ID x 30" length, and its cheaper than two 14416's: $115.08 shipped

you'd have to get some reducers though, to go from your 2.5" piping to 3" piping

well, I have the magnaflow 14641 just installed and I love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty (the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here magnaflow 14641 , or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install.. cant upload clips yet but I will have fun with these for a while
