Question Underdrive Pulleys

CFM is selling the underdrive pulleys kit (water pump and crank) are they worth it? Anyone has used them?

I've got the single crank UDP from Focus Sport. It's not a huge difference, but the engine does seem to wind up quicker, and it feels like there's a little more torque down way low. It won't be the biggest change in your car, but everything adds up.

I fitted one to our regular Zetec Focus, (not my SVT which is hopefully going to be supercharged when I get around to fitting the parts).

I would say it helps a little. It is a subtle improvement, but the gains are there in terms of both acceleration and mpg.

I have read that there are some concerns regarding reliability of the belt driven auxilliaries with this modification, but in 30,000 miles I have had no issues with it.

aside from an ORP/HFC, its the only real easy N/A mod you have left. Just ask yourself, do i ever wanna be supercharged... cuz thats the only reason to not get it.

sounds good, and did you replaced the bolt that holds the crank pulley?

I don't think so. The bolt that holds it in is the same one. The directions that come with

the parts from CFM and pretty good and straight forward.
