IMO, the best intake to get is an AEM CAI, the colder the air the better. If you are thinking of going with a short ram I wouldn't, it's proven to not flow any better than the stock air box with a good filter in it.

And if it doesn't specifically say it's for the SVT (instead for the regular zetec) it won't fit - the intake manifolds are very different with placing/angle of your throttle body, and if it's a standard-zetec intake it probably uses smaller-diameter tubing than what you'd want. Do you have a link to the intake you're referring to?

I thought I saw a polished silver AEM Cold Air intake on ebay the other day. It was around $100.

I'd recommend the AEM CAI too. It's been 4+ years for me and never had any problems.

Added:
Here it is, NEW $109. They are located in Canada though.

I agree with him, I've been looking into this myself and it seems pretty legit.

I have an off brand AEM Cold air intake, it sounds nice, but I know I can get
more out of the Viper Induction than this..

is it worth the moneyz?
I think so
:]

^I wouldn't say it's useless. If you ask me, ANY aftermarket intake is really useless as the stock is so free-flowing. I love mine and I do love the sound my car makes and the swooosh of the throttle body opening/closing.

But yeah the best bang-for-buck mod you can do besides forced injection is a custom tune. The stock tune sucks so bad.

yeah but you can get the same effect by taking the breather snorkle off so that it has a more 'intake'ish sound. but sound != performance

the only real mods you'll "feel" on the svt is
Tune
TB (due to reaching WOT faster... no diff than flooring it all the time)
LW Flywheel
Cat/ORP (maybe)
