http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXnejd_Evac

read the comments.
sorry but how come their st170s rated the same as are cars stock put down way more power than us!

with intake and a tune they put down 175bhp
thats insane.

sorry but ive ordered the very popular intake they use over there. now im wondering how bluefin kills the tuning devices over here and etc.

well the numbers u gave dont match up, and also i know they are the same exact car but how come they put down more power on dynos?
thats all that im saying is they put a lot more down then our stock svts.
maybe possibility of different stock tunes? im not sure.

also i believe the svt is 122 CI with 1988cc not 1983cc as shown above.
but i could be wrong.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did make more power than the US versions. My thinking is that it would all be in the factory ECU tuning. The US are tuned horrible like we already know. Though I never heard of the ST170's having the issues we have with ours. They also have stuff we don't like some freaking f-ing CAMS!!!!

they don't make better power that our cars if you read the comments on that video the guy that had his car on the dyno said only a small few ST170 made that kind of power stock.... most of them make much less...

and the info about the SVT and ST170 is from ford so yes it is correct... well at least on the 04's

Haha... they match up if you know how to convert between units of measurement (maybe .1% distinction on some things... but I don't think 1/1000th is gonna make huge differences on the strip)

Yeah, mine came without cams and it pisses me off! I look in there, and it's got the gears, but no cams attached... maybe that's why my idle's so bad...

Sorry for the scathing sarcasm there... not sure what came over me.

They also are all quoting bhp... brake horsepower... at the flywheel. The 164.4 claimed by the original poster, then, is a touch below advertised... and the 177 with mods is really not as impressive in that light.

Yes, they do most things on the car better over there... but the power it produces stock is right on track with ours... heh

see that's what i was thinking to it was to the crank not the wheels but a dyno like that shouldn't tell you BHP but WHP right? and yea oh wow 177 BHP lol...
