Any new mods?

Hey guys, its been a while since I've been back on here..

I was just wondering if there have been any new performance mods
where you can increase your hp without going FI?

and if FI is the only way to go..where can one get a cheap complete kit?

currently I'm still working with Toms Tune with the Diablo predator, a CAI, and an orp..cant say I have felt much improvement because my friends celica GT-S
is still kicking my ass with all the weight reduction he has done..thats something I cant do because I need my seats and what not in the back haha
and my car is still idling weird sometimes, it will be running and then start sputtering and all I do is rev it one good time, listen to it pop and it goes back to a good idle..so if you have any ideas there let me know :]

anyways, I could use some info from you guys if you have the time

thanks a bunch

cheapest FI kit i would say is the jackson racing supercharger (jrsc) you can normally get one off these forums used for under 2k. also the tune/cai/exhaust/intake is all you can do. the throttle body will give you better response, but not much of a speed advantage

Check for a vacuum leak if you are having an idling issue like you describe, probably a larger one.

Nothing really new coming out for the SVTf that isn't for FI, the aftermarket has mostly moved onto the duratec.

Yea really aside from F/I, you're sorta out of luck. It sucks but being a limited production car and being nearly 5 years from the last year of production. I doubt we'll get much more. Procharger is currently the only SC kit being made. Although turbo kits still seem readily available.

CFM (I think) is supposedly working on getting us some cams....and it wouldn't require us sending our stockers off to England for god knows how long like the current regrinding process...

I would say the next step is to get Tom's DIY kit and then you will blow the doors off the celica! Your SVT will become a whole other animal then!
