Question SVT Tune-up

I was going to tune-up my 03' SVT Euro and needed some advice.

1. Does going with MSD wires and coil really make a differance or should I just go with the regular wires and not change the coil.

2. I've been reading that Motorcraft is the best spark plugs to use and to gap them at .60? Why .60 and not .50 like the manual tells you to?

Thanks everyone!

A lot of people will tell you not to spend the money on the MSD coil and wires. You will get the same effects from a good set of wires and motorcraft plugs.

I would suggest Taylor Thundervolt wires. I have them and they are quality and the car ran a little smoother after the install. Motorcraft coppers are your best bet on plugs too.

thanks for your help!

So, I guess I'm going with the Taylor Thunder Volt wires(8.5mm) and the MotorCraft SP-463 spark plugs.

Where is the best place to get this stuff? I am having a hard time finding the plugs.

Most autoparts stores should be able to get the plugs, if not them then try the dealer. But don't let the dealer rip you offwith a huge mark up. THey should run around 2 bucks a plug.

One other thought check with Mike from Hillbish, he can get you a good deal on plugs I am sure.

I've found, at least in my locale, that a lot of auto parts stores don't stock the 463's, probably because they aren't the 'hot item' as far as plugs go. Not iridium, platinum and $9 a plug. But, they order them and I have them next day. Cost about $1.79 per plug.
