New high flow cat

So I went and had my hfc put on and the muffler dude said the stock cat was the strangest one he has ever seen in 30 years.
so why is it so weird.

I dunno why either, but my mechanic chose to weld my broken cat bracket instead of replacing the entire cat with the used one I'd bought - said it'd be more of a pain-in-the-ass to remove it.

I'm having mine put on in the morning along with my Borla exhaust. I'll have to see what he says about it.
