Shifting Linkage came off.

On my 02 SVT my Shifting linkage came off when shifting into third today. I wasn't shifting hard or anything like that. It would be the cable or rod that connects to the shifting linkage on the transmission itself. I guess what I would like to know is it a good idea to get a new connector or can I even get one?

It snaps back on, changing the cables is not fun.
You can use a brake hose C-clip to hold it in place.

If it popped off on the tranny linkage end use the C-clip, if it popped off the tranny cable holder section use a zip tie. Pop off the air box and take a look.

I'll put a hose clamp on it or zip tie it for the Summer. I'll pretty much be redoing the whole car when the snow comes back.

Thanks,
Pat

Tried that and when it heats up the zip tie gets weak and when you go to slam 2nd on the track and slam neutral you look like a retard at the end of the track puting it back on ha just my experience
