What's left?

I was thinking about this the other day. It seems to me that there are TONS of parts on an SVTF that are specific to ONLY the SVT version of the Focus. The sticker of my '04 EAP was over $24k but it seems to me that because of the high amount of specific parts, Ford probably lost a fair amount on each one. That being said, what would be left if you took all the SVT and EAP goodies off an EAP SVT?

Headlights
bumpers
grills
fog lights
seats
center console
stereo
gauge cluster
complete suspension
brakes
clutch
door handles
hatch door/spoiler
B-pillar appliqués
door cards
transmission
wheels
exhaust from the block back....

Seems to me you would be left with a block if you took all the engine parts off.

this is just stuff off the top of my head. What else?

The only difference between the SVT and normal Zetec block are the pistons, rods and squirters. Everything else is identical; crank, main caps, bearings, windage tray, oil pickup, pan, etc.

The block is even slightly different, I just noticed a couple others already posted that though.

How so...?

I mean aside from the tapping for the oil squirters, everything else is bolted onto an otherwise normal Zetec block.

The only difference is the tapping for the oil squiters, but that technically does change the block. So even if you remove the squirter the tapping is still there and since it would cost you to have some one tap your block it's an added expense to the SVT block.
