Getting a ECM reflash from Ford..need answers

So I talked to the Ford dealer and for $70 I can get the most up to date reflash from the company hopefully to help out with down sides on the SVT, sluggish starts/acceleration etc. so I know I have to do the original back up tune on my diablosport but after will the performance tune still work I hope?

if you have a custom tune on the predator it will be erased when you restore your backup. the diablosport performance tune will remain though, so if you have a tune from a different tuner you'll need to put it back on the predator

to answer the original question...YES

jmkreege is right too, if you have a custom tune (i dont believe you do), you will have to re-download it onto the predator.
since you referred to it as the "Performance Tune" i assume you dont have a custom tuner.

michlong, what was the new firmware supposed to fix?

Do you have one of Tom's Predators?
I don't think you want to muck around with the firmware at all.
You may have to get a hold of him now...
update 9n1 for the predator...does it change anything?

im sure Michlong is sorry for the thread jack.....

BACK ON TOPIC.

jmac, im guessing you have the ZED0 tune from the factory. mine was updated under the TSB before i bought mine.

correct me if im wrong, but the "Performance Tune" should replace the ZED0 tune.
am i right here? if that is the case, the "sluggish starts/acceleration etc." you are experiencing is from the Predator, not the ZED0.
although, ive heard the YRF0 tune blows the ZED0 outta the water.

If your having "sluggish starts/acceleration etc." changing the Ford tune wont do anything for you , You need my custom tune in your Predator

The "b" file is corrupt and DO NOT use it

Do NOT change the CROM file in your Predator there is no need to if your not having issues

Tom
