Drivetrain loss for SVT

Thought it was 10-15% but some are way off. for example in the SVT dyno forum, *The official SVT dyno thread* , belacryf has a dyno of 144whp stock. However, member SVT200487 has a CAI, a catback, AND tom's tune and also throws down 144whp. What gives? I'm kinda worried cause I'm going to throw on a similar setup but with tb with port matched intake and ORP. I know the gains are not supposed to be huge but what is a healthy SVT supposed to start with horsepower wise? And more importantly why such a discrepency between cars?

SVT's have notriously been hit and miss with power output. My guess is variance with VCT/cam "alignment". Were talking about a few HP here and there, almost negligible in the grand scheme of things. Id bolt-on things for drivability and fun on the SVT rather than splitting hairs over power output (no offense intended).

The block and cylinder head tolerance allows for a compression ratio variance of something like 10.2:1 - 10.6:1, that's some of it. There's also a variance from dyno to dyno, there's also the "intelligent" ECU which, I swear, is on vacation at least once or twice every week.

Wide variation is to be expected with these cars.

i hate the fact that everywhere that has info on the svt says that we have 170 at the wheels. or is it supposed to be at the flywheel? anyway how is it that the avg 150 at the wheels of our cars can keep up with cobalt ss's and stang gts. i can keep up, just not for a while haha. i mean im lighter then both but how is it that i can keep up w/ 200hp + cars?

For my dyno, It was done on a dyno set up for a 3500-3800 lb mustangs not a 2800 focus. So my numbers I think are under rated a bit. But I am getting it re-dynoed this sat in charlotte, NC. I post my new numbers. All I have done since then is have the tune changed a bit for idle and the fact that on the last dyno it was running rich.
