Exclamation ...Ford

My SVT Focus has been sitting at Ford for 4months now because they cannot find a clutch. I myself have ordered 7 clutches which none has fit. This is getting crazy, anyone have any suggestions to make Ford "find" a clutch or give me a new car... I have talked to the service manager he said Ford should be making parts for a car at least 10yrs after production, my car is only a 2004.

you shouldn't have any problem getting the clutch...there is a tsb out for pre-mature clutch wear....you end up replacing the dual-mass f/w clutch pressure plated and slave cyl. I got my parts the next day. My focus is a 03 but the tsb was for 02-04...but in my case my input shaft was burred beyond repair so now I'm getting a whole new tranny as well! gotta love warranty....pay a $100 and I get paid on top of it for putting it in lol...cheating the system....

they can find the pp, f/w but cant find the clutch disc which I can't just buy by its self. The TSB doesn't technically cover the cost of the clutch it just tells the technician what to replace if the symptoms are blah blah blah

just get a aftermarket flywheel and clutch and you won't have anymore problems. and yes the tsb clutch's have been on back order on and off for 2 years now.

centerforce dual friction is made by LUK which i believe is the same as fords factory clutch, you could push for that, but youll have to get lightweight flywheel, FIDANZA!

Actually they will cover the disc...but you have to make sure that they put it under "related damages"...then the warranty will cover everything
