^^agreed^^

im biased toward the cool-flo...i have that and havnt had any problems, i also just got the evo cf hood which i think improves the airflow, and eliminates the possibility of heatsoak~!

Yes many different opinions....like mine...lol! I personally use the Steeda Short Ram and it works great for me, even gave me a 1 mpg increase!! Anyways it all kinda depends on were you live. If it rains alot stay away from cold air cause alot of them suck up too much water...go short ram or cool flo something that doesn't go low to the ground. If it doesn't rain alot then cold air is good too!! Hope that helps a little!

Get a true CAI or I would just leave the box. And no a CAI won't suck up water just because it rains, the filter may get wet but water won't reach your engine unless you completely submerge it. I ran mine for over a year and never had a bit of trouble in rainy Ohio. I'm getting another and just fabbing up a small shield on the bottom and sides to isolate it from water but the hydrolock issue seems a bit over played.

RAIN WILL NOT EFFECT CAI's!
however, if you think that your SVTF can go through puddles that reach your centercaps, a CAI is not for you. then again, if you want to do that get a frickin truck.
i had the AEM CAI for many many moons with no ill effects. though, i sold it cuz i now run the the OEM stuff with a Ram air scoop from Mike T.
