Some forum members have commented about the R/T HFC having problems with the welds breaking. I don't know any more than that just briefly read through the threads a few months back because I am running a R/T. I have had it on the car for a little over 2 years and not had any problems at all. The sound is louder (in a great way) and you can feel the difference. To me seems to pull more in the mid range area. Have heard nothing but good things about the CFM one. In my opinion either way is fine, I would just suggest get one.

I have read one report of a cracked CFM high-flow cat. Figures I can't find the thread though.

^^ That was a cracked ORP, not a HFC. I haven't heard of any CFM HFC's cracking.
