fORD fOCUS sT170 eXPENSIVE PROBLEMS PLEASE HELP!!

hi i've had my st for 6months now and love it.

there are a couple of things wrong with it and i need help.

firstly i need to replace my dsi clip for the air inlet, which is fine, but i dont not have the spring / clip which enables the clip to reset, i have been told by ford that this part comes with the £210 manifold, which i feel is a ripe off for just a little part. any ideas please?

the second is when my st rolls backwards i get a terrrible fog horn kind of noise! this has been looked at in the garage and all breaks have been replaced, they said there wasn't any more they could do for me again any ideas?

thanks evers so much

Since I have never had my DSI clip Break I cannot say I know much on this subject off hand but do you need a new spring? can you not just re-use your old spring?

Moved to SVT Performance Chat.
Merged with your other thread in Technical Chat.

Here's a "How To" to fix your DSI clip:
"How To" Broken DSI Clip Fix

Or, you can get a brand new billet one from C-F-M:
http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...arch=GO&Page=1
^^^They also carry the stock clip.
In the US, you can now get the clip separate from the intake manifold.

As far as the noise when backing up, that's pretty common with stock brake pads.
Though it was rare on my car, I've never heard it once I installed new rotors and Hawk HPS pads.

Last but not least...

Ah........that noise......I've heard that before. Mine was a warpped rear rotor and it's soon to do it again! I think I'm going Power Slots, have you seen the price Ford wants? I'm saving at least 25%!

You can get just the DSI clip from CFM. They have a link on this site. Very cheap to buy.
I got mine from CFM. Not too hard to put on and no problems since.
