Back into an SVT!!!

I owned a 2002 SVT a while back and unfortunately, the car was totaled. Picked up an 01 Honda Civic and that car has been nothing but problems for me, so im hopping back into an SVT. Just thinking about it is getting my hands shaking again. I absolutely love these cars. Now im looking looking at the 04SVT EAP. Check out this car and tell me what you guys think. Good deal? What kind of maintenance issues would i be concerned about with an SVT with 47K on it? Thanks!

Greg

WELCOME BACK! I'm not sure I can help you with the Maintenance on a 2004 with 47k on the clock, but I can relate that I own a 2002 SVT. Did you buy it yet or are you just checking it out? How much are they asking for it?

As of right now just checking it out. Waiting back for a response. He is asking $11900. Kelly Blue book lists it in good condition for about 10,420, but that is without the EAP package. EAP package is not a selectable option on KBB.

^^^ and that is why you should not pay more than kbb- if it doesnt book- dont pay more. I bought my Saleen focus for 12,700- dealership wanted 16,995 for it, but you cant book it out. Don't pay more if you dont have to. Good luck!

11.9k for an EAP is a little on the high side, unless the condition is increcible (I don't just mean good either). If it's never been wrecked, or even dinged, if the wheels have zero curb, AND he has maintenence records, its probably actually worth that. Chances are he listed at 11.9k knowing he'd actually sell it for 10.5k or so. These cars can be hard to move, poke around and if it looks good, give him an offer.

It's a sweet looking car, the SVT was a good choice for me, I wish I'd waited for an EAP though..

I wanted an EAP when I was looking, but I ended up with a "regular" SVT ZX5 with 42K for $9000.

That car is exactly like mine, except I have 5,000 less miles. The price of the car has alot to do with where you live. I am actually thinking about selling my car. I would be interested to see how much you actually pay for it.

I too have a '04 CD Silver 5dr EAP. I have EVERY maint record. The car still has 1.3years of powertrain warranty, and was about a 8 on the condition scale when I bought (still waiting on my new bumper, floor mats and Mach1 lip) it about 2 months ago. It had 45k on the clock and I paid $9825. GL with the purchase.
