Anyone done these mods??

For the past 2 days all ive been doing is reading up on the SVTF because im looking into buying one...sooo I was looking up parts for them to get an idea of whats out there and prices and i came across this "[I]The stock head gasket on a ZX2 is .035" thick where this gasket is .020" thick, netting a compression increase of a stock Contour, Cougar, or ZX2 zetec to 9.8:1 from it's original 9.6:1 and 10.4:1 from 10.2:1 on a Focus SVT.[I]" its a $40 head gasket i found on ZXTuner.com, this is like the one mod i found that I havent seen anyone on here say they have purchased and used...and another thing I havent seen mentioned...has anyone tried a set of FR 19lbs injectors with their bolt ons and tune??

SVTF's have 32lbs injectors to boot, so 19lbs are unneccesary.
As for the ZX# HG, its been talked about alot, there was one guy who did it but, he never dyno b4 and after, also his motor blew, not due to the HG, for some other reasons.

But yeah I thought about doing it when I change my T-belt, but when I change my t-belt I want to get a VCT delete kit. So you got to give me a few more months before I'll do it.

VCT= Variable Cam Timing

there a mod to delete it. ECM controls the intake cam gear making it advance or retard as needed

wouldnt lowering the compression ratio lower the hp/torque? i mean granted if you are boosted you can effectively increase the TC/SC pressure safely, but on a N/A engine wouldnt this amount to a loss in power?

Yes it would decrease horsepower on a N/A motor but if your plans were to run big boost then it wouldn't matter, so basicly it would just be in the interest or the plans of the individual that owned the car as to what they are going to do w. it stay N/A or go for max boost
