Big Decision

I've asked a couple people their opinions and now I gotta ask the Focus guys. My brother is going to be turning 16 and needs a car. The dilemma is there are various options on the table. First, my Dad and I would sell our cars to buy him and I new cars and sell the Focus SVT to pay for my brother's car. My dad and my brother do not want the Focus because they find it extremely uncomfortable and my brother loves trucks. If I were to get a new car it would be a new GTI or new Cobalt SS turbo.

OR

My dad and brother would figure out their cars and I would keep the Focus and use the funds saved up to buy a 95-99 Cobra, and then mod that to have 400+ hp.

This is not an immediate decision but I need a lot of time to dwell on this and will update as soon as possible.

Well, do you want one car that's okay at turning and ok at going fast, or do you want 2 cars, one thats really good at going fast and one thats really good at turning?

Dont forget about insurance for both, or for a brand new car for that matter, unless one will be track only. But from what it seems i dont think that will be an issue in the budget lol

How can you go wrong with being a double SVT owner? My affordable dream garage would have my SVTF and a modded 1996 Cobra.

if you decide to buy, stay away from the cobalt. im in the auto biz. i work for VW and the GTI dollar for dollar compared to the coballt ss and the civic si and such is a better choice. 200hp stock. or you could get a passat 3.6 sport with 280 hp. still a better value.

Well the only reason i would consider the cobalt is because it will have 260 stock and be cheaper than the GTI.

I do like the overall package of the GTI and was very impressesd on a test drive, I'd probably have to drive the new cobalt to see if its as good as that GTI was.
