SVT Moon roof, sun roof - closing

I had a ZX3 with the moon roof and when I turned the ignition to "off" the roof would close automatically (This is very useful if you forget it is open and it....rains in the night.) You could get it to stay open if you pressed the same "open or tilt" button within a second or so after you turned off.

I don't get this feature on my SVT I have to close it before I turn off and if I forget it stays open - is this a programed thing or do I need to get the sun roof to "re-set". It all works fine BTW, but I am surprised by the difference between the 02 ZX3 and the 03 SVT.

Mine's the same way as yours.
Key off = moon roof power off...it's not going to move.

And, I know exactly what you're talking about.
My wife's Escape will operate the moon roof with the key off.
Not only that, you can roll the windows up or down as well after turning the key off.

That's cool that the newer Focuses would do that. I wish mine would, too.

my 96 VW Jetta you just put the key in the drivers side lock and hold it to the right and the moon roof would close, wish the SVT would have it, cause I forget it all the time and have to jump back in and put the key in to close it...

I guess his point is that the SVT is missing another "feature" the ZX3 has -but on this one I think "so what!" and I agree with the other post - "I don't need a light to tell me to shift"!!
Just listen to those revs! and if you have to - look at the tachometer! - Grin, Grin!!

But this thread was about SUN ROOFS. (LOL)
