Boosting it will allow you to get rid of the DSI entirely. You should be able to just replace the manifold and be back on the road, though.

This sounds more like an insurance claim than warranty.

I have a pending sale on a complete motor. If it falls through you could pull yours and install this one this weekend. Or tow to me and I do the install in one weekend. Also have just intake -SVT or 2000 if you want to try that first.

RIP red 03 svt
I left my exhaust open once, and someone stole my pistons and valve springs through the opening.

2000 focus wont start 2.0 spi

it sounds like its missing a spark plug but the sound is coming from the back by the intake manifold and it backfires thru the throttle body. could it be a blown intake gasket?

Not gonna lie I've seen this happen in person. A svt got dropped off at my shop with a no crank no fire issue. Come to find out the timing belt snapped, bent all the valves, and the intake manifold was blown to pieces. I have pictures but no clue how it happened
