Towing a Jet Ski

He guys, I figured I'd post this here since it may be more technical than i think..

I have a 2002 SVT Focus, and I'm buying a 1990+ Kawasaki Jet Ski (the smaller stand-up)..now, I know that I'm going to have to have a hitch reciever installed, and what I was wondering is can I buy what i need at the dealership? and I know that I'll have to cut a small square out of my rear defuser panel (no big deal). Oh, and i'll get the spinning propeller plug that goes in the reciever. Heres the questions:

1) How much is the reciever?
2) can I buy it at the dealership?
3) How difficult is it to take off the defuser?
4) Is it safe to tow the Jet Ski behind out cars?
5) Any particular setup recommended?
6) Does anyone have any first hand experiance towing/launching a marine vessel with their focus?

Sounds like a good deal. I'm sure your car can pull it fine, I'd imagine take off would be the hardest. The diffuser is real easy to take off, you need to get under it and I believe there are about 10 10mm screws and it's got a clip on each side.

Isn't that why they make pick-ups? For towing things?

Kidding. A friend of mine has a really cool set up that he built for his Cobra. He uses it to haul track tires, tools and other junk.

The hitch is actually hidden behind the rear diffuser and has an "L" shaped extension that connects to the hidden hitch. It allows the trailer ball to sit below the diffuser and beyond the bumper for easy access.

I know I am not doing a very good job of describing this, but it is a great alternative to cutting up the body work. I'll try to get more information and pictures for you.

If I recall correctly, it wasn't that expensive a set up.

well, actually the hitch setup is supposed to bolt right up, and i was thinkin about takin the defuser off, and maybe doing something nice with it. i was thinkin about gettin my buddies who own a fab shop to maybe cut a thin piece of sheet metal, and make me a defuser like that, maybe cut some cheesy holes in it, but i was planning on making it very professional, and paint it either body color or black.
