Since we have to layshaft's we have two final drive ratio's I still dont understand the Getrag-

We technically have a four speed!

3rd and 5th are the same gear, just used on a different layshaft same with 4th and 6th.

If it wasn't a twin layshaft design, it more than likely wouldn't have fit.

so like in a stang when u got 3.73's for your ring and pinion, what would ours b considered? 4.44's?

^^^No on the 4.44's.
That's the ratio of 1st gear itself in the transmission, which you would then multiply by the final drive (ring and pinion)
to get the overall ratio.

Think of the two final drives in the Getrag as the ring and pinion.
And, as mentioned, we have a 2.88 and a 4.25.

And, no...you can't put a lower (lower speed, higher numerically) gear in the transmission.
What is in there, is the biggest that will fit.
^^^I have a hunch, that's what you were getting at.
