SCT X-Cal 2 - Change engine codes?

I'm looking at selling an XCal2, but the unit is coded for the RLA6 engine code. Does the unit need to be sent back to SCT to be usable by the next guy?

If the guy returned his car back to stock you only need to get an updated tune file. Talk to Tom, he can hook you up!
