Question Opinions on NOPI CAI "set-up" & Poll

OK, time to ask for some opinions here......what do you guys/gals think of this setup below:

http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/...20Focus%202004

That being said, I wouldn't use the crappy stainless filter and would opt for a K&N or something similar. For under 100$, at least it's NOT an "Ebay" CAI, if you factor in 35$ or so for a "name brand" conical filter. I just have no experience with any of these "JDM" brands....

And, if you guys don't mind, please post how you arrived at your decision (if you voted) and, if you have a CAI currently. Thanks for your response(s)!!!!!!!!

its an AEM knock off down to the t.

I'm currently running one with an AEM dryflow filter. I've had it for over a year now and the only thing that has happened is that the lower mounting braket broke. Then again that bracket breaks on the AEM units as well.

The intake came complete with all install hardware that the AEM unit brings.

I compared both of them side by side. My girlfriend gave me the AEM as a gift and i had already ordered the Nopi unit. I ended up returning the AEM unit and getting some springs.

I'll tell you...living less than 5 minutes from the Nopi on Buford Hwy in GA, I go by there all the time and that company that Nopi uses (Number One) is a totally legit manufacturer. I have Number One racing seats, strut bar, and front brake rotors on my car and all of them have worked wonderfully for me. I really recommend this company. And I do have the AEM CAI from Nopi on my car, and the only reason I have the AEM, is because Number One wasn't making intakes for Foci 3 years ago. But that intake is really an AEM clone, and for that price...you can't beat it. Just be sure to get an AEM dri-flo filter or a K&N cone filter, something good to replace the cheap filter you get.

Talking Thanks!!

Hey, thanks for all the replies!!

I guess that this set-up isn't some cheapo Ebay unit after all!! Refreshing...something that's less than 60$ and is actually good quality....maybe I should post this somewhere so Members can get their hands on one of these before they're sold out. The polling so far is that people prefer this NOPI set-up; 4 yes votes to 1 buy a used CAI vote; 0 votes for new CAI....

Now, all I have to find is a cheap filter....guys???

Nopi actually sells the AEM DriFlo filter as well. Call them up and tell them that you wanna put it on their intake and they should know the size of the AEM filter you need. I don't know if they sell the K&N though. I think I paid around $45-55 for my DriFlo, but call and see and maybe they have those on sale as well.
