Fixing the stutter

Eveybody knows about the take off in frist gear stutter yes? well i was reading up on those ground wire kits and decided to make my own. I cut up about 8 inches of an amp power cable and put it from my battery to my body. After i went driving i noticed that the stutter really wasnt there a whole lot. I was wondering if anyone else has done this or wsed the real cables.

They don't do much but they def make it run alot smoother. I noticed the same thing when i did mine. If you make other grounds it helps to. Specifically anywhere there is a sensor or something along those lines. There is a write up somewhere but I gotta run to class. good luck.

Shouldn't a tune solve that problem?

^^^Yes it should.
But, the ground wires can only help the tune even further.

Here's a couple of great threads pertaining to the ground wires:

Hmmm i might have to try that now that it's getting nice out. Did you take off the old ground? Or did you make a second one?

Woops...forgot a link.
(Maybe I should take a look more often at the "SVT How To" thread I put together)

This is an excellent write up with lots of pics and a dyno.

I picked up a 5-door 2004 SVT two days ago, and I don't get the stutter. Other than some snow tires, the vehicle is stock. Are there significant variations from engine to engine such that the stutter isn't manifest on 100% of all applications?
