Port and Polish Q's

How much would I gain off a port and polish on my SVTF???? Who's got some good prices too???

I think Tom does some porting...
Aside from that the only other company I know that handles it is Seah Hylan..
NA I would say its not worth it... FI sure!

I doubt you would see much of a gain after porting in an NA application, but I dont know of anyone that has ported.

Cosworth did a P&P for the sport compact magazine project SVTF car & it resulted in some impresive #s. Dont know how it compares to toms work, but I do know it costed SCC 1800 dollors.

I'm trying to locate the SCC issue that had the article on the work. The numbers they came up with was on the flow bench, not a running engine. They fried a piston running a turbo & have not had a update since.

Unless you are FI your not going to see much at all.

Tom does it for $750 or so. The SCC car was FI when they tested it so you cant really use those numbers for an accurate comparison to a NA car.

I talked with Gude performance, they say 40 H.P. from porting alone, haven't seen any dyno sheets though. They offer an exchange service for around 800. I actually called him about their cams, he says the stock SVT cams are as good as any.
