My dealer told me the trans fluid in an SVT didnt have to be replaced. I can't find any info in the owners manual to disprove him. Whats the story? I have 57k miles on mine and have never changed it. I bought it with 28k and dont know if the previous owner changed it.

I just posted a new topic on my experience with the Royal Purple. I didn't use any friction modifier. I thought that was only on the MTX-75 transmissions.

My car only has 40k on it, and it was showing beginning signs of burning, but it didn't look too bad.

It doesn't technically "need" to be replaced, but many switch out the trans oil anyways for something of an upgrade - such as synchromax. The mechanic probably assumed you were under the impression it needed to be changed.

You dont need to add anything to the synchromax for the getrag.
