Gear options?

I was under the impression that our cars used a variable final drive and that gear swaps were not an option?
Whats the truth to potentialy modding gears?

I believe our car has two final drive ratios, 1 ratio for 1,3,5 and another ratio for 2,4,6

Technically, its 2.88:1 final drive for 1, 2, 5, and 6. And its 4.25:1 for 3, 4, and Reverse.

The biggest problem with re-gearing our Getrag, is the gear that's in it is already as large as will fit in the case.
Check out the pic, courtesy of FF member Byron 3465.
You might be able to squeeze one more tooth out of it....

I've been wondering the same thing. The SVTF really needs more gear in it to make up for the lack of torque. Looks like swapping to the standard 5-Speed MTX trans would be the only way in achieving that.
