It would take a lot of custom work to get the SVT into 200hp naturally aspirated. Custom grind cams w/matching valvetrain, port & polish head (not much porting, really), blueprinting, compression ratio increase, off-road pipe with 2.5" exhaust, cold air intake, 67mm throttle body, port-matched DSI manifold, lightweight flywheel, probably aftermarket pistons, SCT or Diablo tuner, and dyno tuning to ~7500rpm or so. You may be in the 200hp range at the crank after all that.

It's hard to say which way to go on a N/A application as far as cam tuning goes. Personally, I think the VCT would be beneficial, which means you'd just get a cam gear for the exhaust. Others might say go with a VCT delete kit and tune the cams with both gears.

The SVT is getting close to as much as you can get out of a N/A Zetec without making it a trailer car that has to be towed to the line. A few people have pushed their Focus to about 180 WHP and that seems to be the threshold, any more and you're spending a ridiculous amount to hit 200 and the car isn't going to be street-friendly by any stretch of the measure. If 200 WHP is your goal, I'd look into the SVT JRSC, it'll give you the gains you're looking for for a fraction of the cost of trying to reach it N/A.

Hm, more questions. Who here has a high hp NA zetec? What'd you spend to get there? What were your mods?

To hit the 160-180 N/A WHP mark, you have to go high compression and free-flowing everything. So you're looking at a FR head that's been milled .04" or more to bump you up to ~10.6:1 CR, stage II/III cams, cam gears, intake, header, full exhaust, 65mm TB, port-matched 2000 intake and a tune. Now bear in mind that most of that has already been done to a SVT...the SVT head flows more freely than the FR head, its cams are more agressive than any production stage III and it already breathes freely from the factory. The only thing the SVT is missing is the 10.6:1 CR, I believe the SVT's factory CR is 10.1:1. There's not much you could do to the SVT to raise its N/A power short of going to a CR that would require race gas or getting some custom-ground cams (I don't think anyone makes aftermarket SVT cams since the stock cams are so aggressive to begin with.)

stock CR is 10.2:1. high N/A hp is hard to achieve in the svt. go FI, save your self the headaches. JRSC will get you 200hp and with the BBK mabe an extra 15 hp or so.
