Pcm

I had my foci in the shop and told them I had lag on take off. I asked them to do the reflash. I got it back and it says the pcm has been updated. Is that the same as the YRFO flash?

From what I've heard, the Ford tunes for the SVT are all junk. If you want your SVT to run better, I'd look into getting the Focus-Power SVT tune. The owner (Tom) is 1turbofocus on here, he sells the tune and a Predator flasher for something around $300. From all accounts his tune is pretty much the best for the SVT.

I've greatly enjoyed the gains from the tune. It will make your car drive like it should have from the factory, and you'll also notice a large amount of torque from 3000 all the way to redline instead of 5000 to redline.

Yeah, but it's more like $400 with shipping, but still well worth it, I am also an extremely satisfied customer

I have toms tune as well. I can honestly say it is worth every penny. That notorious bog is now GONE. Plus your not paying 400 for JUST the tune. You get the predator, which can pull codes, data log etc etc. I know the tune is hyped up, but its for a reason. That's my .02

^^^What he said, it's nice to not have to go somewhere to have a code pulled when your CEL comes on, then log on here, and see what it is, and usually how to fix it, lol, this place is great. Tom's dedicated to his work and also offers free updated tunes by e-mail as you mod your car more, really a good deal and it lack of bog and surging on the highway are entirely worth it, I couldn't go back to the factory tune!

Yet another one of Tom's satisfied customers here. I've had his tune for about 6 months now and would NEVER think of going bak to stock. Solved my take-off lag issue.

To answer the original question....

if your car is an 02-03 then yes that should be the YRF0 update... 04's had a different code.

Definately look into a Predator or an Xcal2. The tunes do wonders for our cars.
