consequences of a loose flywheel?

hey guys!!
what are the consequences of a loose flywheel?? (rattling noise problem). my car is at about 8K miles and the rattling noise is just starting to appear... i'll probably take it to the dealer on monday... but i dont want the parts to be replaced with the same parts, only new... i know that svt is working on a new and improved flywheel to be out in month or so... the sound is bearly noticeable for most of the time but i dont want to have major problems in the future...but...
what are the consequences of driving the car anothe month with the problem??
if any of you guys have experienced any major damage i will appreciate it if you let me know!!!!
