Got My Parts !!!

Yay came home from work today and my girl told me my parts are here!!! anyways im prob going to do the brakes , change the atenna to a shorty one and then my short throw shifter..... but i have a few questions..... now when i do my brakes its ok if i just leave the cap on the brake fluid and change out the brakes and use a c clamp to push the piston back in??? and also how long does it take to change out the shifter..... and im a complete novice at all this stuff so anything will help!!!!!

What parts did you get? What are you doing to the brakes?

The shifter isnt hard... make sure you use the energy grease sparingly.. stuff is thick and hard to get off.

You need a special tool to push the rear calipers in. Takes basicaly a rachet and a goofy block tool to turn the caliper back in. Fronts I cant remember...

Btw, brake fluid... go with either Ford Heavy Duty or the new Prestone stuff with like 480* dry boiling point...

Take the cap of the fuild. You can push the front back with a C-clamp or channel locks. The rears have to vbe turned and pushed. There are tools.

STS shouldn't take more than an hour, first time. I'm going to put mine back in now.

i order'd some ebc green stuff pads front and rear and cfm adjustable short throw and a shorty attenna ..... all i plan on doing is swapping out the brakes with the new ones and then installing the other stuff im not changing any fluid.... i was just wondering whats the procedure of changing brakes

If you don't want to buy the tool you can rent it from Pepboys.if I rember it's free ,but you have to put down a refundable depost.
