Cam shafts/Cam gears

Has anybody bought an camshaft or cam gear? If so, which brand, which type, and how much performance did you get out of it. Correct me if I am wrong, but we can buy 2 camshafts, but only one cam gear right.

YOu can get cams for the svt, but theyre very expensive and the cost could be put to better use elsewhere. Yes, one cam gear unless you delete the vct.

Neither Crane or Crower makes Cams for the SVT unless there custom grinds

You can but adjustable cam gears on both the Intake and Exh cams on the SVT Focus but to do so on the Intake you need a VCT ELim (100.00) and then 2 Adj Cam Gears and turn off the VCT in the tune

I have a set of Custom Ground Crane SVT Cams for sale 300.00 New

I have a AEM cam gear on its way. I got it cause It lets you play with your powerband and dyno's show increase in power(couple hp and tq). Its also lighter than stock cam gear which let the valvetrain rev more freely.
Havent got it yet but ill let you know if I think It was a good buy.
BTW I got it new for 58$ from a fellow SVT owner.

What kind of improvements could I expect using that custom set on a 10-12 psi procharged svt w/vct delete?

You wont see a gain from this , What you may do is never get it running right again, 90% of the people that do the VCT gear cant get the VCT gear back on correctly and have MAJOR issues , its best to leave it stock or change to both gears and the VCT Elim , any change to the gears a trip and about an HR on the Dyno is a MUST

This is to loaded a question for me to answer , I like the Adj gears and every FI SVT engine i build gets the VCT Elim , If yours is working good and not causing any problems i would leave them stock
