2003 or 04 SVT

I found two SVTs on ebay. One is blue and has a clear title with 35,000 miles and the other is a silver one with 34,000 miles and a salvaged title. The blue i starts at 2000 and the silver has a buy it now for 8995 which one should i look at investing into?

year does not really matter in that sense as there were not major differences between the 2 other than Rim options. Go with the blue one. Nicer color and clear title. Salvage Title + Ebay = world of problems.

I agree with JRODSVT, never be too sure of ebay. another thing to think of is that a lot of 04 SVT's with traction control, a tune will not be able to disable the traction control, as with mine. So I still have to pull the fuse if i want to spin the tires a little.

they are both hot colors in my opinion. if the clear title is 04 that'd be my first pick. at least you'll still have some warrenty left over oh and all 04s come with a transferable 5 year 100k powertrain warrenty. some of the later built 03 svts have it too.

the 04's also have more updated parts than the '02 and '03 models. I can't remember what but I know they have some.

Why is it a salvage title?

I'll never buy another car on ebay. If you can't see it touch it and test it don't buy it.

I have an '03. Personally I like the '03 wheels better. I would only buy a red or blue SVT (unless it's an EAP) because the seats only come in red or blue and personally I don't like black or silver exterior with red or blue seats...it just doesn't look right to me.

Run away from the salvaged title. Could end up being a total nightmare.

The powertrain warranty is determined by purchase date, not build.
