Sick of Cat bracket! broke at month 3

Hi guys,
I just replaced the cat bracket 3 months ago and never abuse the car ever since. Yesterday i heard some rattle noise and checked on the bracket, it was completely broken apart same as the old one. Can i run without the bracket or weld it to the lower bracket? Please advise
Thanks

Run without. Mine broke too. Then get an off road pipe. I thought I had belt noise but it turns out it was this damn bracket. This car has heatshield issues.

Yeah, the heatshields are huge issues. My cat heatshield was rattling when I first got the car and I just clamped it back on with some big ass hose clamps till I got my ORP. Now my headers heatshield has been rattling, it's driving me crazy.

With some big washers you can fix this.

rip off all of them heat sheilds all they do is rattle and eventully fall off anyway, i took all of mine off (forward the flex pipe) and never had a prob with heat. and that cat will be fine with out the bracket. my cat bracket broke and i just replaced the cat with a HFC. when u buy a ORP or HFC they dont even come with any brackets.

That was actually what I was gonna try, but I never got around to it. I wish I could just afford to get it jet hot coated.
