svt flywheel VS st flywheel???

just wondering... do the europeans ST's have the same problem as our SVT's regaring the flywheel and cluth problems/rattling noises?? nad pardon my ignorance... but do the european ST's use the same dual-mass setup?? just wondering...what do guys think or know???

i have close to 7500 miles on my svt and the noise comes and goes... but i dont want to take it to the dealer and have the parts repalced with the same thing only new... i just think its really about time that ford and svt put a fix t this!!!!

thanks guys!!!

Would this be the rattling noise that comes from the gear stick under heavy acceleration ??? If so this is caused by damaged gear linkage and it needs to be replaced under warrenty by your dealer - im waiting on parts to get mine fixed.

And yes the ST has exactly the same setup as the SVT - it's one in the same car with different badges.

My question is whether Ford will call it a RECALL or simply a Tech Bulletin........I'm approaching 27k on my 02 SVT and am getting kinda anxious as to whether I will buy an extended warranty mostly for this reason or if I will just go ahead and do an LSD/Flywheel with that money instead...........It's a conundrum I tell ya ;)
