Euro Recaro seats question

This is my first winter driving the SVTF. How many of you with the Recaro's put seat covers on to protect your seats a little more? I'm a little over protective about my car, and I'm not sure if putting seat covers on will just cause more wear on the seats from rubbing. What do you guys/gals think??

Chad

IMO cars are for driving and seats are for seating , i am not a fan of seat covers.. i only use them in extreme conditions like transporting some dirty things on the seats... other than that i dont cover them for daily driving ;)

And headers are for glowing. I need a story behind that avatar!

And I don't use seat covers either.

Glowing headers are definately purdy!

I just don't know if I should be taking any precautions to preserve them a little better. I know, store it for the winter... but it is now the daily driver since I got rid of my Wrangler. I could always drive the Lightning... yeah right!! I'll just have to condition the seats a little more to make up for the wettness from the snow.

Use a two-step leather clean & conditioner once a month and you'll be golden.

I condition them about once a month right now and they are looking pretty good. I'll just continue with doing that throughout the winter.

Thanks!

I don't have the almighty recaros in my car just the standard lovely looking leather with blue inserts. About a month into buying the car I decided to spring for some seat covers because in my old car, 94 saturn, my driver seat started to look like a bag of hammered ass. I picked up some really nice charcoal colored covers from target for like $15. They have worked great!! and they match the inside really really well. I often forget I have seat covered they blend in so well. When the car gets a few years older i'll take them off and admire how well they "haven't" aged! I can post pics if anyone is interested.

^^^I like the message in your signature... When I was active duty in the Corps, I used to jokingly say this to all the younger guys: "the hazing will continue until morale improves" Oh, the good times!
