Clutch Suggestions

After doing some searching and reading on the forum, I've noticed that most people are using the clutchmasters clutch. Is it that much better than spec or centerforce or anything else that's out there? I have an 02 SVTF that I just bought used a bought a month ago and the clutch is shot, so I am in the market for a new one. What would everyone suggest, bearing in mind that I love to do some spirited driving and at this time next year I will be swapping in a fully built motor from focus-power. Also, I am undecided if I want to get a lightened flywheel now or later, I guess it will just come down to money. Thanks for the help.

PS. I'll post some pics of my baby soon!!!

I'm curious as well. My clutch is fine, but I'll probably hit the 30k mark by the end of the year... you know, the magical number when factory clutches seem to go. I pretty much taught myself how to drive stick in my car... well, I've driven a few times prior to purchasing, but I wasn't good at it... plus my car had like 130 or so miles on it, so I'm sure people beat on it before I did.

I'm definately staying away from a stage 4 clutch... probably gonna consider a stage 2, but I'm wondering about brands of clutches and flywheels. I'm putting it off as long as I have to, but I'd rather be safe than sorry... might even find the parts in the for sale section at a decent price before my clutch goes!

The stage 4 clutch drives like stock once broken in. There is absolutely no point in a stage 2. You're paying for it, but not getting a clutch that can hold any torque.

Why do something if you're not going to do it right? Millions of people daily drive their cars with stage 4s in them.

I would recommend a cm stage 4 for someone with force induction. The most I would recommend on a natural aspired car is The cm stage 3. Most cars with bolt-ons will be fine with the cm stage 1. We have package deals on clutch and flywheel. We also have the best price on them. http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...ers+svt&Page=1

Thanks. Anyone else have some thoughts? I know there are others out there that don't have clutchmasters. How do you like yours?
