ORP with stock exhaust

I imagine this has been discussed a thousand times, but humor me for a moment.

How loud is the stock SVT exhaust if you add an ORP to the equation? I don't want it to be super loud or anything.

Any REAL gains when added in combination with a short ram intake and maybe an UDP?

Yeah it's been discussed, to see a dyno chart and hear what it sounds like, check out this link:

It's not that bad at all. I have a sound clip I think somewhere, but this is without load, and obviously the car sounds a bit different under load, but you will ge the idea...

let me see if I can find it.

[edit]

Here ya go... this is hosted on my slow server, let me know if it works or not. IF not I'll try to move it to a faster server.

If anyone remembers hearing my car at FITF, that is a stock exhaust with an ORP.

i have the stock exhaust with the ORP and it gets loud when you get into high RPM... other than that it is not bad. Not really sure if I like the sound yet?? Maybe looking at a diff. exhaust!!

Stock exhaust and ORP is louder than a Borla with Hi-Flow cat.

The ORP will drone on the highway, not to forget that it's a federal offense to run one on the open road - hence why it's called an "Offroad" Pipe (offroad as in tracks, not mud/rocks).

The Hi-Flow cat is relatively quiet, though it does make the stock exhaust sound better. I added a Borla exhaust after adding a HFC, and the Borla is just as loud as the stock exhaust.

I believe somebody did a dyno comparison between the 2 and the gains were similar - I think the HFC had better gains too. That said, the HFC is a better choice of the two!
