Angry New Tranny!!!!!!!! Need Help!

THe guy at the tranny place said with was my shift Fork and could not find one. He said that the ford dealership does not service or supply parts for the Getrag. This is so frustrating. Does anyone have a site or anything I can go to to find parts for this thing? The transmission guy wants to get me a used tranny for 1500. I found them on ebay or 800 with 20k miles on them. If noone knows a site is anyone selling theirs? (has to have 30k or under)

Thanks for your help!

Ford usually sends them out to be serviced or replaced.. do you have the extended drivetrain warrenty? The transmission should be covered under that for something like a bent fork. Just not stuff like a new clutch or throwout bearing.

It is the same trans as in the Mini Cooper S. So check with BMW.

Isn't the powertrain warranty 5 year 100k miles for SVT's? Maybe you are covered and you just don't know it yet.

The MINI trans will not fit on the SVTF, the bellhousing is different, and you would not want it anyway the gearing is taller than ours.

I have a spare gearbox I am going to put up for sale with all the rest of my parts in the next few days (girl in Mini Van got me and the car is gone but I have some parts to sell)

Not all of them.
Only late delivery 03 and all 04 models.
2002's had no 5/100,000 available...unless you bought it separately.

Byron 3465;
Ah man, sorry about the car.
IIRC, you had a Quaife LSD in one of your trannys.
Did that not make it through the accident?

Thanks I miss that car it was a lot of fun. But I just picked up my new Mazdaspeed 3 and it's like the SVTF only on Steroids!!

The Quaife was in the car. I am trying to find where the car went and see if I can get the trans back even if the case is trashed I can get the quaife and either put it in my spare gearbox and sell them together or as seprate parts.

What does the bellhousing have to do with the shift fork?
